There are hundreds and hundreds of fulfilled prophecies in the Bible. The perfect fulfillment of these prophecies make people understand and believe that when the Bible speaks it is telling the truth, even when it is speaking of future events.  No other faith on the planet has fulfilled prophecy.

Daniel (chapter 2) predicts the rise and fall of Greece and Rome. In Isaiah chapter 23, we are told of the destruction of the cities of Tyre (a secoast city) and Sidon. In our secular (earthly, non religious) history studies we learn that Tyre was completely destroyed in seven months. 

Close to 250 years before, Nebuchadnezzar , king of Babylon, began his 13-year failed attempt to destroy Tyre and kill all of its inhabitants but the population had moved to an island half a mile out in the sea and had built walls (150 ft. tall) to keep them safe against an intruder. 

In 332 B.C., Alexander the Great came to town. In seven months he fulfilled the remainder of the prophecies (Zechariah 9:4; Ezekiel 26:12) regarding this city, by demolishing it, killing 8000 of its people and selling another 30,000 of its population into slavery. 

To reach the island city, he gathered the ruble and leftovers from Nebuchadnezzar’s previous attempt and threw them into the sea, building a causeway 200 ft. wide, all the way to the island.  

…and another one:

In Luke 21, Jesus predicted that Jerusalem would be destroyed and the Jews further dispersed (Diaspora) throughout the world. In Matthew 24:1, 2 Jesus also predicted the destruction of the Temple of God. 

In A.D. 70, Titus Vespasian (later known as Caesar Augustus) destroyed this holy city and the Temple, and the Jews were carried off into foreign lands. (P.S. this is the significance of the Jews being returned to their own land after WW2).
